Universal Weighing Terminal

Purpose:

Terminal for general weighing tasks, which ensures data displaying and inputting on various different connected devices (PC, scale, printer, barcode scanner) in industrial environment. Typical uses: e.g.: labeling, mixing scales, warehouse scale systems’ terminal, classifier scale, other difficult weighing tasks).

Features:

• Connected to PC turns it into an operator terminal, while combined with METRISoft made scale electronics or digital cell(s) it becomes a full scale.
• It has a 240*128 resolution screen with backlight. 4 character size is available:
  • With 8*6 pixels character 40 characters writable in one line, number of lines max. 16
  • With 12*8 pixels character 30 characters writable in one line, number of lines max. 10
  • With 16*8 pixels character 30 characters writable in one line, number of lines max. 8
  • With 32*16 pixels character 15 characters writable in one line, number of lines max. 4
• 46 buttons for control, 4 of this are special weigher buttons, while the others are for general purpose, similar to a PC keyboard. The numbers, decimal point, Enter, Esc, Del, F1-F6 keys are accessible with one press. Letters are input with multiple presses, like on mobile phones. The characters shown on the upper part of the keys can be written by pressing Shift at the same time as the key.
• With the function buttons under the screen, the functions written on the bottom of the screen, are launchable.
• PS/2 PC keyboard is attachable for more convienent use.
• The faceplate has 3 communication port:
  • The COM1 can be RS232, RS422/485, or TTY. The connection speed is configurable between 300 and 115200 Baud. The databit is fix 8, parity can be N, E, O.
  • The COM2 is fix RS232 (e.g. for controlling printer, connecting barcode scanner). The connection speed is separately configurable on both direction between 300 and 9600 Baud. Databit 7 / 8, parity can be N, E, O.
  • The COM3 is fix TTY 20mA current loop (e.g. controlling second display). The connection speed is separately configurable on both direction between 300 and 9600 Baud. Databit 7 / 8, parity can be N, E, O.
